"In the following code we were swayed by the dark side of the Force to do
its bidding! Yes, Joey, we upstanding examples of programmers, the epitome of
program artists, have sunk so low that in the next few lines we will be
decentralizing the values for the filetype. And this for the measly gain of
one lousy byte, Joey!"
Joey looks up, tears welling up in his eyes. "But Roo-man, how could we?"
"There comes a time when we must do things that we don't like for the good
of the whole. We will continue to strive for the good of ALL mankind. This is
not just our lot in life; this is our destiny!"
"Golly, Roo-man; I'm inspired!"
Suddenly, a strange haze, a twirl of twinkling lights, is
seen descending upon our heros. The very indentation style
changes! For several moments, all is quiet. Then...
"G-g-gosh, Roo-man, I feel strange!"
"What's happened to us, Joey? It's as if something has taken control of our
minds!"
"I seem to remember something about d-decentralizing, but... I don't
remember anything about it now! What IS it, Roo-man?"
"I don't know, son; I just don't know..."
Far away, a chuckle is heard emerging from the twisted lips
of a shadowy figure. "The fools! I'll destroy what little
mind that Roo-man has left! And his mangy little kid, too!
Ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha!!!"
